HP/Hewlett Packard/Agilent 5517B Laser Heads/Transducer
This 5517B laser is of recent vintage (2006)
and is in like-new functional and cosmetic condition with
measured output power when locked (READY solid) of over 350 µW.
The REF frequency is about 2.2 MHz. Both these values are equal
or better than those printed on the backplate. This means that
the laser is either an new spare or has had very little use.
It locks normally with a clean REF signal, and has been
tested in a monitored interferometer setup for at least 8 hours.
(Additional testing will be done upon request of a serious buyer.)

Please note that this laser has the gold one-piece metal shroud for a
cover and there is no shutter wheel as it was removed
in the original application. Other case styles may be available. :)
(The cover and front plate can always
be transferred from your defective laser if desired.)
Standard metal feet are included (not shown).
The beam diameter is 6 mm but the 9 mm option may be available.

The following 1 year (365 days) warranty shall apply under the condition
that the laser is installed in a piece of commercial equipment like
a semiconductor stepper for which it was intended (not your home-built
laser lawn mower):
- First 15 days: If the laser fails to meet HP/Agilent specifications
for the 5517B or does not at least meet the backplate values for
output power and REF frequency, buyer may opt for 100 percent
refund, free repair, or replacement (if available). The laser may be
returned for any other reason including that the case color doesn't
match your decor for a 95 percent refund.
- Next 75 days: If the laser fails to meet HP/Agilent specifications
for the 5517B, free repair or replacement
will be provided, or 90 percent refund of purchase price if repair or
replacement is not possible.
- Next 90 days: If the laser fails to meet HP/Agilent specifications
for the 5517B, free repair or replacement
will be provided, or 85 percent refund of purchase price if repair or
replacement is not possible.
- Next 185 days: If the laser fails to meet HP/Agilent specifications
for the 5517B, free repair or replacement
will be provided, or 80 percent refund of purchase price if repair or
replacement is not possible.
After 1 year, repair will be available on a time/materials basis.
Warranty void if failure resulted from improper installation, incorrect
power wiring or voltages, lack of cooling, physical shock, being run over
by a 10 ton truck, dropped down a flight of stairs, etc. Warranty excludes
shipping.
