anything with a value of $100 or more, USPS Express Mail International
or Priority Mail International (or whatever they are called this week!)
will be used (your choice) since they are trackable and insured. You
may opt for a lower cost shipping method for less expensive items but
there will be no insurance and if nothing shows up or the package arrives
flat as a pancake, you're out of luck. Please provide a phone number
along with the address - required by some shippers.
A much preferred alternative for non-USA addresses is for me to ship
to a USA address who can then forward it to you anywhere in the World.
Find a friend in the USA who would be willing to do this. There are
also shipping companies for this purpose.
However, if I do agree to send it direct, in addition to the shipping
charges, I may have to add a hassle fee since non-USA destination (including
Canada) entail additional time and effort, sorry. The fair market or
insurance value of the item(s) will be used for the Customs form and
the buyer is responsible for any Customs duty on the receiving end.

Red (632.8 nm) HeNe laser tubes and heads:
Green (543.5 nm), yellow (594.1 nm), and IR (1,523 nm) HeNe laser tubes
and heads:
The following are various laser heads or assemblies that include a laser
head that have an internal mirror at one end and a Brewster angle window
at the other end. Most of these have a wide bore and are easy to
align, but will generally be multi-spatial mode using a medium radius
mirror without an aperture inside the cavity, or the use of some other
means of mode control. The design wavelength in all cases is 633 nm
(normal HeNe red), but some are capable of at least some orange
(612 nm and maybe 605 nm) as noted. They are great for
general experimentation using an external cavity laser without the hassle
of critical alignment and optics cleaning at both ends.

Two Brewster:
I no longer have any two-brewster laser heads that lase for sale. Only
heads with tubes in them that could be refilled. So, the only things
really useful here are the mirrors, unless you want to remove the tube
(lots of work) as a display piece.
These are Hughes 3184H HeNe laser heads which consist of a two-Brewster
HeNe laser tube inside a sturdy aluminum cylinder with mirrors mounted on
the end-plates. With the end-plates removed, the two-Brewster laser tube
may be used for all sorts of educational experiments using external mirrors.
The following 2 laser diodes are for experimental purposes with limited
specifications but should work well to pump DPSS green lasers up to about
100 mW and IR lasers up to about 400 mW. Samples have been tested with
both CASIX DPM MCAs and in Uniphase uGreen DPSS lasers. They are NOS
(new old stock) which means never used but a few years old. I will test
the diode(s) I ship for threshold current and current at maximum power.
Specifications were determined based on testing and their use in uGreen
lasers and comparison with similar diodes with known specs.
Like all bare laser diodes, these are extremely sensitive to Electro-Static
Discharge (ESD), overcurrent, and other causes. The warranty on these diodes
is only for misrepresentation of wavelength or maximum power. See the
DISCLAIMER and WARRANTY Form for High Power Laser
Diodes.
LD-SCL2372-P1 SDL 2 W multimode 808 nm laser diode in >10 $ 400.00
temperature controlled package with monitor
photodiode. This is what you need to repair
that tired weak Coherent 532 DPSS laser.
The following 3 laser diodes are for experimental purposes with limited
specifications but they do lase. They are NOS (new old stock) which means
never used but a few years old. I will test the diode(s) I ship for
threshold current and current at maximum power but that's it. To
determine what's listed below, samples of each type were tested
using an LDC-3900 laser diode controller. Wavelength was determined
using an Ando Optical Spectrum analyzer. Maximum output power was
estimated by increasing current in increments of 10 mA until output
didn't continue to increase or decreased. The rated power was then
assumed to be a nice round number below this value. :) Interestingly,
all tested diodes recovered fully unless pushed way beyond this point.
The power versus current data for three samples is plotted in
Single Mode Diodes Data.
They were determined to be single mode by using a 12 mm focal length lens
to project a spot on a screen about 1 meter away. The spot was a nice
point. A multi-transverse mode diode would result in a line which would
be a 80X or so magnified image of the stripe.
The beam shoots away from the mounting surface (C-mounts come in both
types). Like all bare laser diodes, these are extremely sensitive to static
and reverse polarity. Warranty on these diodes is only for misrepresentation
of wavelength, maximum power, or single mode. A refund will be issued if
any of these specs are found to be in error. Since high power single mode
laser diodes usually go for 3 or 4 times what I'm charging, it's a small risk
as long as you know how to safely drive this type of laser diode.
Like all bare laser diodes, these are extremely sensitive to Electro-Static

200 mW max. A sample was tested to 240 mW.
Slope efficiency: 0.83. C-mount is positive.
LD980-1 C-mount laser diode, 980-990 nm, appears to 20 $ 125.00
be single transverse mode, typical threshold
current around 27 mA. Probably rated 100 mW
max. A sample was tested to 140 mW. Slope
efficiency: 0.75. C-mount is positive. Uses
include pumping erbium:glass microchip lasers.
LD980-2 C-mount laser diode, 980-990 nm, appears to 9 $ 100.00

current around 15 mA. Probably rated 100 mW
max. A sample was tested to 130 mW. Slope
efficiency: 0.8. C-mount is NEGATIVE -
opposite of normal! Uses include pumping
erbium:glass microchip lasers.

The following "LDs" are mostly bare laser diodes with no driver. At
these prices, they are excellent candidates whos scrifices will be
justified for your first laser diode experiments. :)
LD1-1 Laser diodes in aluminum block with fixed >10 $ 1.50
collimating lens in aluminum block, 670 nm,
1-2 mW maximum output. These are from some
sort of barcode scanners. $1.50 each or

LD1-2 As above but with clamp for collimating lens >10 $ 2.00

LD2-1 2-3 mW 670 nm laser diode in small block with 5 $ 3.00
screw adjustable collimating lens. Cute. :)
LD4-1 2-3 mW 670 nm laser diode in brass cylinder >10 $ 2.00
with collimator. This assembly appears to Pic
clamp the (probably) 9 mm LD in place so
it may be possible to replace it with one of
your own. Comes with driver PCB but I haven't
figured out the connections yet. The lens
is adjustable but saeled with adhesive.

Here are some Uniphase uGreen lasers and accessories. Other parts may be
available. Email if interested.
Again this is on a BEST EFFORTS basis. I may ask you to sign a waiver
to this effect. If your laser is irreplaceable, go to a real laser
service company and pay the big bucks! For these lasers, other services
may be available and for other lasers discussed in the Laser FAQ but
not listed here, please ask. However, I will not deal with lasers
requiring three-phase AC power (if they can't be converted to single phase)
and/or a fork-lift to move! :)
Where only testing options are listed, repair or restoration may be available
on a time and materials basis. Please ask.
Special note to eBay (or other) sellers: To honestly represent what you
have available, it is really best to have it tested, and possibly
adjusted for optimum performance. Sure, you can sell it "As Is" or
"Powers Up but no further testing done". But if it's likely the
equipment does work, then being able to list test results will
bring in top dollar! Please contact me for special
arrangements, trades, or other payment options on testing of lasers or
components. For example, I will consider deals that include part of
the payment based on net proceeds after auction expenses. Quantity
discounts also available.
And for buyers, it may be possible for you to negotiate to have testing
done with acceptable results as a condition of sale.
Note: I may have to add a combat surcharge to orders for these magnets.
Trying to pry them loose from their buddies is a real treat capable of
serious injury!

Currently, I'm looking for "Smart Sensors" for the Coherent Fieldmaster,
dead or alive. Most useful would be a low to medium power VIS-NIR (say
up to 1 W) and a thermal sensor good up to 100 W CW. Other Fieldmaster
parts including a spare main unit. Also, Scientech thermal sensors and
readouts. And/or a sensor head for a Coherent model 213. All types
of laser power/energy meters and sensor heads for parts or repair.

slightly larger turbo pump in operational condition or in almost any

Helium-Neon Lasers
Note: All output powers are actual measured values after about a
10 minute warmup, not CDRH safety ratings which may be much higher and
totally impossible to achieve under any conditions. Wavelength is 632.8 nm
(normal orange-red), and the beam is randomly polarized TEM00 (single
transverse mode) with normal divergence (1 to 2 mR), unless otherwise noted.

laser head. Total output power about 2 mW, so
about 1 mW in each mode. No output polarizer.
The laser head starts, runs, and stabilizes
fine, just a bit lower than new power.
SP117A-PBS Polarizing Beam Splitter (PBS) for SP-117A 2 $ 100.00
laser. This is the standard rhombus-shaped
(almost cube) beam splitter assembly that
screws to the SP-117A laser head inside the
output end to select one of the polairzed
modes.
SP117A-HZ1 Spectra-Physics model 117A frequency stabilized 2 $ 350.00
laser head with a Zygo tube. The laser starts,
runs, and stabilizes fine, but may not stay lit
on the standard SP-117/A controller due to a
higher tube voltage. (The current is the same,
4.5 mA.) It requires about 2.1 kV, which is
considerably higher than the normal SP-117/A
tube. (The original power supply lists 1,600 V
though the actual voltage available may be much
higher.) Therefore, while I have run a head
witha Zygo tube in it on an SP-117 controller, I
do not recommend this as a drop-in replacement
as the power supply may be unhappy and do bad
things (like die). But it should be great as a
high quality laser for your own controller 3+ mW
total output. Note: This head does not have
the output PBS, sold separately (above).
I can provide and install the required HeNe
laser power supply in your controller at my
cost for the brick plus $100/hour labor
(1-2 hours).
SP117A-HZ2 Same as above but with super long cables (20 or 1 $ 375.00
30 feet!).
SP117A-HM1 Similar to above but has Melles Griot 05-LHR-038 1 $ 350.00
tube. This tube will work on the SP-117/A
power supply but the current is a bit high -

Metrology HeNe Lasers and Accessories
These are mostly from HP/Agilent and Zygo. Lasers that meet manufacturer
specifications come with a 90 day (3 month) warranty as noted.
This warranty can usually be extended to 180 days (6 months) for
an additional 10 percent of the laser's purchase price. All
others have at least a 10 day DOA warranty.
Feel free to make reasonable offers.
Trades (in addition to those listed below) of lasers, electronics, or
optics, may be considered to reduce the price. I will also test, adjust,
and repair these lasers and am set up to do quantity testing for eBay
(or other) sellers with flat fee, consignment, or other arrangments
including service warranties on these lasers.

HP/Agilent Metrology HeNe Lasers and Accessories
Note 1: Unless otherwise noted, all of these lasers and laser tubes meet
HP/Agilent specifications. However, also unless otherwise noted, having
been used, they are recommended for applications where the laser is
turned on only when required or for testing, demonstration, education, and
research, not production lines like wafer fabs that are run 24/7.
Most have at least a 90 day warranty (and fingers crossed) I've yet to
have a warranty return. But their useful could be measured in many
years if used in this manner. For most applications, there is no real
benefit to leaving lasers like this on continuously if not being used.

halogen lamp at one with some relay optics
to focus the lamp's filament into a narrow
glass tube that is between a pair of
compression fittings. A polished metal
parabolic reflector directs any scatter
into a UDT455 amplified photodiode. There
is also a yellow LED facing the sensor,
presumably for calibration, and some other
unidentified device facing the sample. Comes
with the original electronics board, untested.

Something like 2,500 V, 5 mA (fixed) but

much compliance range and 2,500 is generally
higher than most HeNe lasers are spec'd for
5 mA. The starter works well and this would
be a good base for a test supply on a Variac.
HENEPS-S3A-1 Spectra-Physics model 253A/122 exciter. This 1 Make
is the power supply for some versions of the offer
Spectra-Physics model 122 laser. It's a
switchmode power supply that generates 225,
300, or 375 V p-p at about 22 kHz to drive a

only electronics in this unit that are known
to work are the HeNe laser power supply and
PZT high voltage power supply. The tube is
very hard start and very weak. It would make
an interesting display piece. The PBS has
been removed due to damaged coatings. The
beam sampler plate is good as are likely
the lenses and any other optics, PDs and PCB
electronics, and mechanical parts. But it
doesn't have any feet and its appearance is
slightly ratty. (The ball bearing feet may
be available if that's what it takes to sell
this thing.) Nonetheless, it might just
have that impossible to find part you
absolutely must have!

The part number is 006-1003154, manufacturer
unknown. Size: 3-3/4" x 3-1/8" x 2-1/4".
NOS. Using one would be good for up to a 4-5 mW
laser, 2 for up to a 10-15 mW laser. Other uses
include capacitor charging for a pulsed laser
or strobe, electric fence :), etc. Two for $20.
HENEMGH4-HX Newly homeless Melles Griot polarized HeNe 10 $ 20.00
laser head from HENEMGH4s, but weak. These
only produce 2 to 6 mW after warmup (typical
is 3-4 mW). Complete assembly including
front and rear end-caps and 6 foot Alden
cable. It's possible that mirror tweaking
might result in another mW or so but probably
not something dramatic. Some samples also
tend to be hard to start. No guarantees on
anything other than that these heads do
lase and produce a nice TEM00 polarized
beam. Or consider it the perfect home for
your homeless 5-10 mW HeNe laser tube with
cathode-end output. Removing the tube intact
and reusing everything else is fairly easy.

very cute 0.5 mW HeNe lsaer tube. These
produce at least 0.5 mW (most do somewhat
more) but due to long hours slaving away
in some sort of measurement instrument, have
a higher than normal operating voltage,
some may also be slightly hard to start and,
there is likely to be significant brown
crud in the bore. But they will work on a
05-LPM-379 or similar power supply with
a 75K ballast resistor close to the tube.
HENENWS1-X NON-WORKING (up to air) Siemens LGK-7641, - $ 1.00
Spectra-Physics 088, or Uniphase 098, 10 inch
HeNe laser tubes. Good mirrors, but at this
price, you'll have to provide your own chants
to the gods of dead lasers if you want to

probably 30 cm or less, not very good for use
with 1-B HeNe laser tubes except very close
to the B-window, but might be suitable
for a Scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer.

but I will guarantee that mirror alignment
will get you at least 1 mW, possibly as much

I'm just too lazy to bother but it really is
just a 10 minute job with a drill press and
hex wrench. And since it's the cathode-end
mirror that needs to be adjusted, no shocking
experiences (usually). :) Or, at this price,
just salvage the mirrors for your 1-B laser
tube (but I don't want to know).
HENENLX1 Weird beam 1 mW HeNe laser tube. The beam is 2 $ 3.00
weird because the outer surface of the OC
mirror is broken. The tube lases just fine
with rated power, the beam is just strange.
You could sand it down and have an even more
strange constellation of dots generator.

The following, shall we say, may have some problems. OK, they have more

condition otherwise. Glob on some Torr-seal
and fill with gas but may need alignment. :)

of conventional design, hard-seal, gas intact
and starts and runs with perfect discharge
color but output is less than 1 mW and
and fluctuates, and mirror alignment is VERY
critical. With the addition of a series of
Zeeman suppression magnets, I would imagine
that you could get a few mW but almost
certainly no where near the 35 mW rating.
This is NOT a mirror alignment problem
but either a gas-fill or incorrect mirror
formula. Perfect physical conition.
HENEDT4-1A Same as above except has punch through at 1 $ 75.00
anode. Excellent cosmetic condition.
Won't lase, but will light up on small
HeNe laser power supply. (Discharge
snakes along outside the bore.) Makes
interesting high tech sculpture.

bore is split into sections - this may
improve the distribution of the gas or

This may have been a prototype. It is
prefect single longitudinal mode at all
power levels indicating that the ring
laser cavity is in good condition. The
main problem is that the TEC inside the
pump diode package is faulty and can't
maintain the set temperature for more
than 1/2 hour even at an output power of
only 50 mW, much less at higher power.
Includes NOS SDL-2382 replacement diode.
Some assembly required. This is not for
the casual laser hobbyist. Replacing and
aligning the pump diode requires a degree
of skill, patience, and experience. And,
there is the risk of irrepairable damage
due to carelessness or just bad luck.
But success could result in one of the best
holography lasers with a half watt or more
output power. Inquire for details.
If replacing the diode was fun, I would
have done it and then be selling this laesr
for $5000.
LWE125-1 Lightwave Electronics M125-1313-030 fiber- 1 $ 250.00
coupled 1313 nm multimode laser. This was Pic 1 2 3 4 5
some sort of special order from LWE. Even
though it has the M125 model number and is
in a mint condition M125 case, it is
NOT an NPRO but a monolithic YLF FP cavity
pumped by a C-mount laser diode. It is
therefore multi-longitudinal mode. The
output is over 10 mW (30 mW when new).
More may be possible by turning up the
pump diode current via the internal pot.
The output is via a permanently attached
single mode fiber feeding a collimator
producing a very nice ~2 mm TEM00 beam.
The price is negotiable. Interesting
experimenters' item, or if you need
1313 nm. Mint physical condition.
AL-1320-1 Amoco 1320 nm DPSS laser, 60+ mW TEM00 beam. 1 $ 950.00

The laser head is fan-cooled with TEC
for temperature control. Stable within a few
seconds of power-on. I believe this is capable
of much higher power since there is a fan
attached to the laser head (powered separately,
DC wall adapter not included) but it is not
needed at the power level at which the laser
is set.
LE-374QT Laser Export model LCM-DTL-374QT Q-switched 1 Make
UV (355 nm) DPSS laser for PARTS OR REPAIR. offer
This is a 200Hz-1kHz actively Q-switched
freqency tripled diode pumped YAG laser
with an average pulse energy of 20 uJ
with a pulse width of 3 to 7 ns. This
laser has a power supply problem and thinks
that the DC input voltage is out of range.
The laser head is almost certainly in
good condition, as is most of the power
supply and the AO Q-switch driver module,
which is self contained. Laser Export
is a Russian company but most or all of
the electronic components are of Western
manufacture. This laser is in excellent
physical condition and rather well made.
If nothing else, it has 2 laser diodes,
an Nd:YAG crystal, 2 NLO crystals, an
AO Q-switch and driver, 1 or 2 TECs,
mirrors and other optics, and a bunch of
other neat stuff. :) If you don't mind
diving into the electronics, the problem
is probably near the power input as it's
flashing the "power out of range" error
code, which means that the controller is
alive. Or attach the laser head to a
working controller. If you have a
DPSS lab controller (diode+TEC), then
the laser head could be driven without
the broken controller. It may be
possible to trigger it at up to 5 times
the spec'd rate for 100 mW or more of UV
output. I've almost talked myself into
not selling and attempting to make work.

Although designed for 24 VDC to the motor,
they will run happily using only 12 VDC for
both the logic and motor. An external pot
can be added to extend the speed range from
near 0 rpm to over 4,000 rpm. Detailed
instructions provided.
And as evident in in the final pic, the mirror Pic 4
assembly can be removed with some difficulty
and then the motor can be used for something
else. The individual mirrors can also be
carefully unglued after removing the plastic
plugs at the top.
Whimpier scanner motor assemblies are sold on
eBay for much more, intended for laser show
"liquid sky" effects.

NLO-1 Mystery non-linear crystal with oven. This is 1 Make
a ~3x3x20 mm crystal with one end at a 15-20 offer
degree angle. That end appears AR-coated Pic
possibly for green. The other end is at
90 degrees and either uncoated or with a
damaged coating. There is some mottling.
The oven is matched to its dimensions and
seems to have a pair of 100 ohm heaters
and a 10K thermistor sensor. It has been
suggested that this is for THG, but no
other information is available.
LW-SS100 Laserworks SS100 X-Y scanner unit. This very 1 $ 100.00
nice 4x4x4 inch black anaodized aluminum Front Back
box includes a pair of low speed scanners
with broadband aluminized mirrors, a beam
shutter, and emission LED. Input to the
scanners is up to 5 V with a bandwidth of
perhaps 10 Hz at full voltage; 50-100 Hz
at 1 V. Designed for a HeNe laser but
would work with any other narrow (1 or 2 mm)
beam. The beam enters through a ~1/4"
hole on the side 1-7/8" from bottom. There
is a standard 1/4-20 tapped hole for mounting.
This looks more like someone's high school
science fair project than a commercial
unit except for the professional labels and
that it is covered by U.S. patent: 4316648.
It should be quite useful and in a nice
box. :)
ILS-106 LiNbO3 Pockels Cell crystal. Appears to be 1 Make
new (NOS) in original box. Approximately offer
1x1x2.5cm with gold electrodes on opposite

for general purpose visible and near-IR
detection, and low cost laser power meters

available standard wavelengths are: 633 nm

Metrology Laser Service
These are two-frequency HeNe lasers used in semiconductor wafer steppers,
measurement and calibration systems, and other metrology applications.
Manufacturers include Hewlett Packard/Agilent, Excel, Zygo, Mark-Tech, and
others. For resellers, being able to state that, for example, an HP-5517C
laser is "working and meets HP/Agilent specs with warranty" as opposed to
"as-is, untested", can result in a salling price 10 times higher. I am set
up to do quantity testing of these lasers, as well as many types of repairs.

gauge readout equivalent to a VT-6A in
its current condition, some reassembly
required though. I guarantee that the
printed scale looks good. :)
THGAUGE-1 General Electric model 22-GC-310 thermistor 1 $ 35.00

HVP-1208A Toyo Corporation (Japan) high voltage power 1 $ 150.00
supply model HVP-1208A1-26L. Input:
26 VDC, 2.5 A max. Outputs: 25 kVDC,
1.1 mA max; 4.5 to 7.65 kVDC, 15 uA max; and
200 to 1,000 VDC, 5 uA max. This is the CRT
high voltage power supply used in various
Monitronix monitors (EZ, etc.). It would also
make a very nice general HV source. Internal
adjustments permit output to 32 kV. Removed
from working equipment. It's a metal cased
high frequency inverter, about 5"x6"x2".

HVPSU-1 Assorted high voltage power supplies from 8 $ 7.50
laser printers and photocopiers. Various Pic
brands and outputs. Tested with hookup
instructions. Usually, these put out
3-6 kV at a few hundred microamps. Some
have more than one output. I'll try to
accomodate specific requests on a first
come first served basis.
HVU173 Sanyo High Voltage Unit. This is the HV 6 $ 10.00
power supply from a laser printer or
copier. Outputs of -6.0 kVDC at 0.45 mA,
+4.5 kVDC at 0.1 mA, and -350 VDC at 0.35 mA.
All outputs are adjustable a bit. Input of
around 24 VDC. Individual enables for each
HV output. Also has an auxiliary +5 VDC
regulated 1 A output with its own input.
Wiring information will be provided.
These are NOS in original wrapping. Could
be nice for an air purifier, ozone generator,
or similar application (10.5 kV between HV
outputs), or a replacement for that laser
printer or copier it was destined for. :)
HVP-PN20KV Glassman High Voltage HV power supply model 1 Make
PS/NV-20PN15. This is a precision tracking Pic offer
unit outputting 0 to +20 kV and 0 to -20 kV
at up to 15 mA intended for an ion implanter.
It appears to be either very lightly used or
a spare. Excellent functional and cosmetic
condition. I have modified it for operation
on 115 AC (was 230 VAC) and to enable the
variable current limit function (2 resistors
on each PCB) but can easily be restored for
use in original application. It may be used
as two independent variable high voltage power
supplies by rewiring the backpanel-to-PCB
cables. Complete documentation available.
Note: This is an OEM supply with only a
power switch on the front panel. Control
and monitoring is via a backpanel connector.
However, construction of a user control panel
would be straightforward.
SPELLMAN1 0-3 kV at 100 mA high voltage power supply 1 Make

cool. :) Even if you don't know what a MOSFET
is, they are worth framing. :) Otherwise, great
for motor or thermoelectric controllers, maybe
even super high power laser diode drivers,
or other high current applications. (The

Magnets
Well, at least they are from electronic equipment. :) These are rare
earth magnets from older high performance hard drives. All are perfect
magnetically but may have some chipped paint. All magnets are N/S on
large faces. These magnets are so strong that they cannot be pulled
apart, they must be slid sideways. I will ask you to sign a DISCLAIMER
form since they can damage flesh and destroy computer media from a
considerable distance. These are much nastier than anything found in
a modern hard drive due to their size.

MI10-C Remote console from Matrix Instruments MI-10 1 Make

to main part of camera (long gone) via

probably don't need it but it is in perfect

STEPTHG-1 Stepper Thing 1. This is a combination of a 1 $ 50.00
rotary telephone dial (if you remember dial
phones), 12 or so position stepper switch,
incandescent numeric projection readout, and
some odds and ends. Dialing the dial causes
the stepper to step resulting in the readout
displaying the dialed number. A separate
switch is used for reset. Demonstrates
principles of electromechanical counting
with everything visible. Mounting of the
parts is your responsibility. I don't
recall why I built it. :)
C-628A C-628A/ARC-27 remote control box. This must 2 $ 25.00
have been used with a separate military radio
and is probably pretty useless by itself but
if you happen to have an ARC-27 missing a
control box, this is for you! :) Quite old
but like new condition, probably never used.

PIN-6955 Silicon photodiode with built-in preamp 10 $ 10.00
UDT model PIN-6955-4. Slightly over 2x2 mm
active area, 4 pin hermetic TO5 package with
glass window (+V, -V, COM, OUT). Includes
socket and 3 inch cable. Requires +/-15 VDC.
Very sensitive to light, about 50 nanowatts
(at 633 nm) for full scale output. This may
be a custom part made for Wyatt Corp. Pulled
from working equipment. This device appears
similar to UDT-455. See: UDT Photops Page.
However, note that being in a 4 pin package,
this is a fixed gain (very high) but low
bandwidth part. If it's not running
open-loop, the internal feedback resistor
would be about 500M ohms!
SCT-1A Spectronics model SCT-1A power supply for 1 $ 100.00
Spectroline UV pencil lamps. Like new
condition. This unit outputs 1,000 VAC
open circuit and looks like a small cased
neon sign type transformer. Might be useful
for HV projects but is way overpriced
for just tinkering! :)
LIGHTPEN1 This is the sensor assembly/pen unit of what I 1 Make
think was a light pen that would work with any offer
raster scan monitor. The only labelling is
"Interactive 2037-001-G3" on the 5 foot cable
terminated in an RJ-11 connector. It looks
like a fat pen with 2 buttons on the side and the
end also has a switch that detects pressure when
touched to the screen. You'll know exactly what
this thing is if you have one. Here's your
chance to get a spare! Sorry, no additional
electronics or software.

2X1000A Eimac 2X1000A high power rectifier tube. 3 Make
Appear to have never been used. These Pic offer
have been tested at low voltage. Specs are
PIV: 25,000 V, DC current: 1.25 A continuous,
25 A peak, plate dissipation: 1,000 W.
filament: 26.5 V at 1.95 to 2.35 A. Sure,
4 microwave HV diodes would replace this
beast but the tube looks much classier! It
is about 7 inches tall.

5016A U.S. Army Dynamotor Unit type 5016A manufactured 1 Make

A "Dyanmotor" is a motor-generator with multiple
sets of windings and commutators on a common
armature. Just what you need for your plane or
boat to power that old tube radio. Come to think
of it, your plane wouldn't get off the ground
with this thing on board but it would make a
good boat anchor. I guess that's why it is U.S.
Army - tanks don't worry about mass. :) I will
test it if there is serious interest but it worked
a couple decades ago and the armature spins now
so it is probably fully functional to original
specifications. As an added bonus, it comes with
a spare set of carbon brushes.
COUNT-1 Dual 4 digit electro-mechanical counters, 3 $ 10.00

ISOL-1 Microwave isolator, Mil-Spec. The device is in >10 $ TBD or

Univac 1830 prototype. :) Airforce avionics computer, 8 1 Make

really cool front panel with more switches and lights than I
anything you have likely seen lately. Complete schematics can't
and user manual. No power supply (expected 28 VAC, 400 Hz refuse
or something equally difficult to supply without buying
a special system) and used a half dozen or more different Pic of Console
DC voltages.) Just kidding - sorry, I don't think it's
for sale yet unless I get an offer I can't refuse. :)
However, I will consider a donation to a computer museum
if they just pay shipping or come with a truck. :)
This was one of the first IC based computers ever built.
1960s vintage. I actually had the CPU and front panel working
with a kludged together collection of power supplies (it
would run loops out of its internal registers). The huge
(physically, at least, it was the largest box) 32k, 30 bit
word core and plated wire memory never worked for me,
however.

working scope, go to eBay, since you'll

SUPCRT-1 Superior Instruments Company CRT tester. This 1 $ 15.00
is probably only useful as a collectible since Pic
it has one socket for a CRT type that probably
hasn't been manufactured in 35 years. Settings
for cathode, control grid, screen, 1st anode,
and filament.
VATEMPC Valhalla (whoever they are!) temperature probe 1 $ 25.00
for DMMs with a range that reads out in mV for
the LSB. Uses 9 V battery (not included).
TEK529R Tektronix model 529 TV waveform monitor, 1 Make
rackmount. Appears to work but could really offer
use a good cleaning and calibration. This
is a classic and a must for any NTSC TV
studio or editing facility if such things
exist anymore.
TEK529N Same as above but non-rackmount, no cover. 1 Make

TEK564 Tektronix 564 storage oscilloscope, 10 MHz 1 Make

HEATHIO-14 Heathkit model IO-14 5 MHz single trace 1 Make
oscilloscope. I built this from a kit offer
over 30 years ago. Will test if there is
any interest. Includes original assembly
and operation manual with genuine Sam
scribbling. Actually used very little.

HEATHS3 Heathkit dual trace switch model S-3. This 1 Make
thing takes your single trace scope and offer
make it dual trace, supposedly, at audio
frequencies at least. Untested.
WTFG1 Wavetek model 159 Waveform Generator, 1 Make
rackmount (19"x5-1/4"), KB selection offer
with some sort of non-standard digital
interface as well, 15 pin Molex-type
connector on rear panel). This is NOT a
PLL synthesizer but just a collection of
op-amps and reed relays. It goes up to
a couple MHz with decent waveshape.
However, without computer control, this
is an absolute !@#$ to set up since the
KB isn't latched - hit any number and the
output changes! Case is beat up with
bracket/handle broken on one side. In
other words, it's basically a piece of
junk but now works well since I replaced
all the ceramic bypass caps. It does
have a nice display and fills a 5-1/4"
rack space very snugly. :)
WTPM1 Wavetek model 740 phase meter. This 1 Make
thing is supposed to compare the phase offer
of a pair of signals and display the
lead or lag angle on an analog meter.
I'm not sure why anyone would want one
of these except for a Wavetek museum
but here it is. Needs work as the
meter needle never settles down.
Possibly, the same ceramic cap problem
as in the 159, above. Since I can't
think of anything I would use it for,
I have no intention of fixing it.
RCAWR64A RCA model WR-64A color bar/dot/crosshatch 1 Make
generator in absolutely positively mint offer
physical condition. It did work when I
tried it a few years ago. This is a classic
vacuum tube based instrument that would be
the perfect complement to that EICO VTVM
for your state-of-the-art consumer
electronics repair bench. In original box
complete with operation and service manual
and RCA brochure should you wish to purchase
other advanced RCA test equipment. Time
machine access codes sold separately. :) And
as a free bonus, you also get the service
info for the RCA 21-CT-7835(U) and similar
chassis, somewhat tattered but appears
complete, circa 1957.

There is also a 6.3 VAC, 4 A, output for vacuum

D17BPARTS PCB and Disk Drive collection from Autonetics
D17B missile guidance computer. These are
ultra-high quality PCBs from the early
1960s, discrete logic, gold plated traces,
conformal coated with clear urethane.
Most components (even diodes and transistors)
have indiviual serial numbers. This is most
of the logic board set removed from a working
Minuteman-1 missile. Fixed head disk drive
available (yes, there was a disk drive in a
missile). Sorry, nuke not included. :)

unique pre-Nixie incandescent display. It Front

of an orange-red filter (not included), it
would have the appearance of a Nixie
display since the plane of the display
depends on numeral. It consists of 4 complete
digits (right 3 with decimal point) and +/-.
Generally good condition though the wiring
to some of the bulbs could stand to be
touched up. The perfect addition to your
ancient display collection. :)
PHILTV1 Philco 13" B/W TV, circa 1952. This should be 1 Make
easily repairable since it did work for a offer
couple minutes relatively recently but then
something died (probably an electrolytic
cap) and the vertical collapsed to a 2"
height. I will confirm that it is still in

I am interested in laser related equipment, parts, and supplies in almost
any condition as long as it isn't totally mangled or burnt to a crisp. And,
even then, parts might be salvageable. :) The only restriction is that
complete systems must not require a fork-lift to move and run on single
phase 115 or 230 VAC or some form of DC - from batteries up to 100 kV. :)

I am interested in monochronometers, interferometers, autocollimators, and

PCB Fabrication
I have several small printed circuit board designs in Gerber format that I
need fabbed in multiple quantities. They are for the Coherent C315M laser.
I know I can go to a Web PCB fab service company and get these but if you
are doing a PCB run and can shoehorn a bunch of step-and-repeat 1 to 2 inch
square two sided or 4 layer PTH PCBs onto a corner of your artwork without
incurring significant additional cost, maybe we can trade for something
if you don't think the info in the FAQs and copies of these or other
C315M related PCBs is sufficient compensation. :) I'll provide artwork
of the individual or multiple PCBs as desired.
