Combined computer monitor and TV

"This is a 27" VGA monitor which should also be able to be used as an NTSC television monitor. Can anybody comment on it?"

IMO, I think the entire idea of a combined TV/computer monitor is silly especially when the likely cost premium is taken into account. Watching the boob tube will tie up your entire PC. The optimal size for TV and computer use is not the same nor are the requirements in terms of scan rate, resolution, brightness, and sharpness. Thus, the design will be inherently more expensive and include more compromises. So, I will probably be proved wrong by record sales of these things but my only justification for such a hybrid would be if there were absolutely no space for both.
