I am also looking for a variety of items including (of course) lasers of
all kinds and high vacuum equipment and accessories. See the "Wanted to
Acquire" section at the end of this page.
I may be contacted directly via the
Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ
Email Links Page. Use the "Feedback" button on that page
to Sam Goldwasser, any subject heading. Thanks.
Note: Although this page may be resident at some of my mirror sites,
the only official version is at: http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/sale/.
For large items I must also add a small packing fee to cover my
time and expenses. But for the most part, there are no handling
or other hidden charges. Faster shipping is available at extra cost.
I will be happy to use your shipping account if desired.
For insured items, a signature may be required when accepting the package.
It is your responsibility to make sure someone is available to do this!
I will ship to Canada for slightly extra. I do not generally ship
overseas but may agree to do so on an individual basis. The cost
of shipping is usually quite high. Please get an idea of the approximate
shipping cost from the USPS Web site so you won't be in for a shock
before contacting me. In either case, for
anything with a value of $100 or more, USPS Express Mail International
or Priority Mail International (or whatever they are called this week!)
will be used (your choice) since they are trackable and insured. You
may opt for a lower cost shipping method for less expensive items but
there will be no insurance and if nothing shows up or the package arrives
flat as a pancake, you're out of luck. Please provide a phone number
along with the address - required by some shippers.
A much preferred alternative for non-USA addresses is for me to ship
to a USA address who can then forward it to you anywhere in the World.
Find a friend in the USA who would be willing to do this. There are
also shipping companies for this purpose.
However, if I do agree to send it direct, in addition to the shipping
charges, I may have to add a hassle fee since non-USA destination (including
Canada) entail additional time and effort, sorry. The fair market or
insurance value of the item(s) will be used for the Customs form and
the buyer is responsible for any Customs duty on the receiving end.
Note: Please include your phone number when supplying address information
on foreign orders.
Furthermore (as if the above is not enough), I will NOT send items out of
the USA which may have export control issues. It really isn't worth the
hassle for me to determine what is allowed to your country. Sorry.
or through the Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ
Email Links Page which ends up at the same place.
(Subsequent communication will be
using direct email so you MUST provide a valid email address
on the Feedback form.)
Be sure to include the item number(s) you're interested in and
any questions you have about them. If you're serious about ordering, include
your zipcode so I can figure the shipping cost. I will usually reply within
12 hours, usually quicker during the day (despite what it says about
up to a week on the Feedback Form page!).
For HeNe laser heads and tubes at rock bottom prices, see the various
"homeless" specials below. I do have other HeNe lasers, tubes, and
heads avaialble. So, if there is something you'd like that's not listed,
feel free to contact me via the email link at the top of this page.
Red (632.8 nm):
Green (543.5 nm) or yellow (594.1 nm):
Red (632.8 nm) HeNe laser tubes and heads:
Green (543.5 nm), yellow (594.1 nm), and IR (1,523 nm) HeNe laser tubes
and heads:
The following are HeNe laser heads and tubes that have an internal mirror at
one end and a Brewster angle window at the other end. They are wide bore and
run massively multi-transverse mode with a medium radius mirror and a short
cavity unless a stop is introduced inside the cavity. They are great for
general experimentation using an external cavity laser without the hassle
of critical alignment at both ends. All have mirrors coated for 632.8 nm
(red). Tubes with anode-and cathode B-windows behave pretty much the same
but may be slightly less desirable due to
the exposed high voltage in an open cavity setup. However, it's pretty easy
to cover the end with plastic tube allowing just enough room for a cotton
swab to dust off the B-window as needed. The Climet 1-B laser heads are
the best in this regard since the high voltage is totally enclosed and
the aluminum cylinder protects the glass tube from abuse.
It may be possible to get other wavelengths out of these with a
suitably coated external mirror but I doubt it - I don't think the
internal mirror is broad-band coated. The only way I've ever seen
anything other than 632.8 nm red from one of these 1-B tubes was
using the henemghprism assembly from a PMS tunable HeNe laser and then
only a few dozen microwatts of 604.6 nm orange out the HR. But feel
free to try!
The powers listed are what I was able to get using a slightly bedraggled
OC mirror from an SP-084 barcode scanner tube, about 99%@632nm, 60 cm RoC.
It's almost certain that somewhat more power (maybe 0.25 to 0.5 mW) can be
squeezed from these heads/tubes with a new OC mirror and tweaking of the
HR mirror alignment (most of the tubes have locking collars on the HR
mirror mount for this purpose). I don't believe that a particular power
level implies anything about the life expectancy on any time scale that
matters for experimentation, if at all. Where there are multiple units
available of a given type, first come first served for highest power.
See the section: HeNe Laser Optics
for inexpensive mirrors that will work great with
these tubes. For kits with most of the parts required to build a one-Brewster
laser, see the section: HeNe Laser Kits.
Detailed instructions for setting up these one-Brewster heads and tubes can
be found in Care and Feeding of the
Climet 9048 One-Brewster HeNe Laser Head and
Care and Feeding of the
One-Brewster HeNe Laser Tube, respectively.
Two Brewster:
I no longer have any two-brewster laser heads that lase for sale. Only
heads with tubes in them that could be refilled. So, the only things
really useful here are the mirrors, unless you want to remove the tube
(lots of work) as a display piece.
These are Hughes 3184H HeNe laser heads which consist of a two-Brewster
HeNe laser tube inside a sturdy aluminum cylinder with mirrors mounted on
the end-plates. With the end-plates removed, the two-Brewster laser tube
may be used for all sorts of educational experiments using external mirrors.
The following 2 laser diodes are for experimental purposes with limited
specifications but should work well to pump DPSS green lasers up to about
100 mW and IR lasers up to about 400 mW. Samples have been tested with
both CASIX DPM MCAs and in Uniphase uGreen DPSS lasers. They are NOS
(new old stock) which means never used but a few years old. I will test
the diode(s) I ship for threshold current and current at maximum power.
Specifications were determined based on testing and their use in uGreen
lasers and comparison with similar diodes with known specs.
Like all bare laser diodes, these are extremely sensitive to Electro-Static
Discharge (ESD), overcurrent, and other causes. The warranty on these diodes
is only for misrepresentation of wavelength or maximum power. See the
DISCLAIMER and WARRANTY Form for High Power Laser
Diodes.
LD-SCL2372-P1 SDL 2 W multimode 808 nm laser diode in >10 $ 400.00
temperature controlled package with monitor
photodiode. This is what you need to repair
that tired weak Coherent 532 DPSS laser.
The following 3 laser diodes are for experimental purposes with limited
specifications but they do lase. They are NOS (new old stock) which means
never used but a few years old. I will test the diode(s) I ship for
threshold current and current at maximum power but that's it. To
determine what's listed below, samples of each type were tested
using an LDC-3900 laser diode controller. Wavelength was determined
using an Ando Optical Spectrum analyzer. Maximum output power was
estimated by increasing current in increments of 10 mA until output
didn't continue to increase or decreased. The rated power was then
assumed to be a nice round number below this value. :) Interestingly,
all tested diodes recovered fully unless pushed way beyond this point.
The power versus current data for three samples is plotted in
Single Mode Diodes Data.
They were determined to be single mode by using a 12 mm focal length lens
to project a spot on a screen about 1 meter away. The spot was a nice
point. A multi-transverse mode diode would result in a line which would
be a 80X or so magnified image of the stripe.
The beam shoots away from the mounting surface (C-mounts come in both
types). Like all bare laser diodes, these are extremely sensitive to static
and reverse polarity. Warranty on these diodes is only for misrepresentation
of wavelength, maximum power, or single mode. A refund will be issued if
any of these specs are found to be in error. Since high power single mode
laser diodes usually go for 3 or 4 times what I'm charging, it's a small risk
as long as you know how to safely drive this type of laser diode.
Like all bare laser diodes, these are extremely sensitive to Electro-Static
Discharge (ESD), overcurrent, and other causes. The warranty on these diodes
is only for misrepresentation of wavelength or maximum power. See the
DISCLAIMER and WARRANTY Form for High Power Laser Diodes.
Closeups of Samples of These C-Mount Diodes.
LD840-1 C-mount laser diode, 835-845 nm, appears to 10 $ 150.00
be single transverse mode, typical threshold
current around 30 mA. Probably rated 150 to
200 mW max. A sample was tested to 240 mW.
Slope efficiency: 0.83. C-mount is positive.
LD980-1 C-mount laser diode, 980-990 nm, appears to 20 $ 125.00
be single transverse mode, typical threshold
current around 27 mA. Probably rated 100 mW
max. A sample was tested to 140 mW. Slope
efficiency: 0.75. C-mount is positive. Uses
include pumping erbium:glass microchip lasers.
LD980-2 C-mount laser diode, 980-990 nm, appears to 9 $ 100.00
be single transverse mode, typical threshold
current around 15 mA. Probably rated 100 mW
max. A sample was tested to 130 mW. Slope
efficiency: 0.8. C-mount is NEGATIVE -
opposite of normal! Uses include pumping
erbium:glass microchip lasers.
The following are other diode laser related items.
DIOLASE1 Scanditronix Diolase 1 laser line generator. 2 $ 50.00
NOS. Adjustable focus and orientation.
Built-in driver with power switch and power
indicator, input: 9 VDC.
DIOLASE2 Scanditronix Diolase 2 laser line generator. 1 $ 75.00
NOS. Dual version of Diolase 1.
MGLINE1 Melles Griot laser line generator, adjustable 3 $ 15.00
optics (sort of), 670 nm, 12 VDC input, with
driver board. Includes mounting clamp. Line
generating optics are removable, resulting in
the equivalent of a clunky laser pointer. :)
The following "LDs" are mostly bare laser diodes with no driver. At
these prices, they are excellent candidates whos scrifices will be
justified for your first laser diode experiments. :)
LD1-1 Laser diodes in aluminum block with fixed >10 $ 1.50
collimating lens in aluminum block, 670 nm,
1-2 mW maximum output. These are from some
sort of barcode scanners. $1.50 each or
4 for $5.
LD1-2 As above but with clamp for collimating lens >10 $ 2.00
so it can be adjusted. $2 each or 3 for $5.
LD2-1 2-3 mW 670 nm laser diode in small block with 5 $ 3.00
screw adjustable collimating lens. Cute. :)
LD4-1 2-3 mW 670 nm laser diode in brass cylinder >10 $ 2.00
with collimator. This assembly appears to Pic
clamp the (probably) 9 mm LD in place so
it may be possible to replace it with one of
your own. Comes with driver PCB but I haven't
figured out the connections yet. The lens
is adjustable but saeled with adhesive.
$2 each or 3 for $5.
DLPLAT1 673 nm 2 mW laser diode on TEC controlled 1 $ 100.00
mount with numerous beam shaping and
collimating optics, and photodiode power
monitor. Wiring info will be provided.
The laser diode is in a can package and
can be replaced relatively easily.
Includes a Crystal Technology AOM and
RF driver but I could not get this unit
to do anything to the beam, though the
driver appears to work. The laser diode
mount alone is worth at least the price.
CC505S CC-505S original ILX TEC to laser diode mount 1 $ 50.00
interconnect cable, DB15M to DB9F. Like
new condition.
BSC-RED-1 4 mm polarizing beam splitter cube for 1 $ 25.00
HeNe lasers and other red lasers.
Design wavelength of 650 nm but works
works well at 632.8 nm. This should
work well for combining two high power
DVD laser diodes.
BSC-RED-2 10 mm polarizing beam splitter cube for 1 $ 40.00
HeNe lasers, ~8 mm clear aperture, AR coated.
Design wavelength is 633 nm but has been
tested and has better than 200:1 transmission
extinction ratio down to at lesat 543.5 nm
and should work for wavelengths well away
from 633 nm.
BSC-RED-2A Same as above but there is a slight cosmetic 1 $ 35.00
chip on bottom surface. Optocally perfect.
BSC-BLU-1 3 mm polarizing beam splitter cube for 1 $ 20.00
blue/violet lasers. Design wavelength
of 405 nm. This is what you need to
combine two Blu-ray diodes.
TEC1.5 High power ThermoElectric Cooler (TEC). 1.5" 1 $ 25.00
square should be good for multiwatt laser
diodes.
IRBSC1 12 mm polarizing beam splitter cube, 780 nm. 1 $ 35.00
In plastic partial frame. (Can probably be
removed.) Excellent condition.
IRQWP1 1/4 wave plate for 780 nm, 8-10 mm diameter. 1 $ 25.00
Here are some Compass-M (Coherent C215M, C315M, and C415M) accessories.
For the blank printed circuit
boards (PCBs), Jameco has all of the additional parts, which should be
under $5 for any of them, much less if you have a moderately well stocked
junk drawer. However, for Autostart Adapter 2, a complete kit is available.
IMPORTANT: We will not be liable if your laser is damaged due to poor
soldering skills or incorrect assembly!
Here are some Uniphase uGreen lasers and accessories. Other parts may be
available. Email if interested.

Lasers and Optics
Helium-Neon Lasers
Note: All output powers are actual measured values after about a
10 minute warmup, not CDRH safety ratings which may be much higher and
totally impossible to achieve under any conditions. Wavelength is 632.8 nm
(normal orange-red), and the beam is randomly polarized TEM00 (single
transverse mode) with normal divergence (1 to 2 mR), unless otherwise noted.
The listings are very roughly ordered from low to high power.
Complete HeNe Lasers
These include self-contained lasers as well as laser head/power supply
combinations. Also see "HeNe Laser Kits", below, for some low voltage DC
powered HeNe lasers. Note: For AC power supply bricks, a fast blow 1 amp fuse
is required for safety since there is no way to know if there is an internal
fuse. Add $5.00 to any of the AC input laser heads/power supply brick
combinations and I will include a fuse and line cord. Green and yellow
HeNe lasers listed after red ones.

Input: 24 VDC, output: 2400 V at 5.25 mA
(fixed). Very good condition.
Stabilized HeNe Lasers and Parts
For the commercial stabilized lasers and conponents, all serious offers
will be considered, but I won't be selling them for 10 percent of what
I'm asking. :)
Sam Part # Description Qty.Avl. Price/ea.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CO200-2 Coherent model 200 frequency stabilized HeNe 1 $ 350.00
laser includes controller and laser head.
The tube is s bit slow start but is otherwise
in very good condition with 1 mW output when
locked.
CO200-C1 Coherent model 200 controller only. 1 $ 200.00
SP117A-H1 Spectra-Physics model 117A frequency stabilized 1 $ 200.00
laser head. Total output power about 2 mW, so
about 1 mW in each mode. No output polarizer.
The laser head starts, runs, and stabilizes
fine, just a bit lower than new power.
SP117A-PBS Polarizing Beam Splitter (PBS) for SP-117A 2 $ 100.00
laser. This is the standard rhombus-shaped
(almost cube) beam splitter assembly that
screws to the SP-117A laser head inside the
output end to select one of the polairzed
modes.
SP117A-HZ1 Spectra-Physics model 117A frequency stabilized 2 $ 300.00
laser head with a Zygo tube. The laser starts,
runs, and stabilizes fine, but may not stay lit
on the standard SP-117/A controller due to a
higher tube voltage. (The current is the same,
4.5 mA.) It requires about 2.1 kV, which is
considerably higher than the normal SP-117/A
tube. (The original power supply lists 1,600 V
though the actual voltage available may be much
higher.) Therefore, while I have run a head
witha Zygo tube in it on an SP-117 controller, I
do not recommend this as a drop-in replacement
as the power supply may be unhappy and do bad
things (like die). But it should be great as a
high quality laser for your own controller 3+ mW
total output. Note: This head does not have
the output PBS, sold separately (above).
SP117A-HZ2 Same as above but with super long cables (20 or 1 $ 310.00
30 feet!).
SP117A-HM1 Similar to above but has Melles Griot 05-LHR-038 1 $ 250.00
tube. This tube will work on the SP-117/A
power supply but the current is a bit high -
4.5 mA instead of 3.7 mA.
HENESTAB1 Stabilized HeNe laser kit 1 (under consider- - $ 50.00
ation). Set of parts to construct a two-mode
frequency stabilized HeNe laser includes
a well behaved 0.8 to 1.2 mW 6 or 10 inch HeNe
laser tube (your choice pending availability),
compatible 6 or 12 VDC input HeNe
laser power supply, microscope slides to be
used as polarizing beam samplers,
photodiodes, heater wire. General info
on home-built stabilized HeNe lasers
including complete schematics may
be found in the Laser FAQ chapter:
Home-Built HeNe Laser. Only common
mechanical and electronic parts are required
to complete the laser. Availability subject
to sufficient interest to put this together.
HENESTAB1T Well behaved tube only from HENESTAB1. - $ 25.00
HENESTAB2 Stabilized HeNe laser kit 2 (under consider- 6 $ 100.00
ation.) Similar to HENESTAB1 but substitutes Tube and PSU
a 10", 3 mW (minimum power) HeNe laser tube
with thin film heater and 12 VDC input HeNe
laser power supply. These are high quality
tubes in near-mint condition originally from
commercial stabilized HeNe lasers.
HENESTAB2T Tube and heater only, from HENESTAB2. 6 $ 85.00
HENEMGT2 Melles Griot 05-LHR-038 HeNe laser tube, more 3 $ 50.00
than 3.5 mW output power (rated 2 mW). Tested
well behaved mode sweep (non-flipper). New.
HENESTAB3T Melles Griot 05-LHR-038 as above with 20-30 VDC 1 $ 85.00
input power supply, ballast, and thin film
heater jacket.

HENELSK1 HeNe Laser Kit 1. >10 $ 35.00
0.5 to 1.25 mW 6 inch HeNe laser tube and
matching power supply brick attached to
ballast resistor and mounting brackets.
Input requirements: 21 to 31 VDC at 0.5 A
(power adapter NOT included, readily
and inexpensively available). A large
number of these are available. Inquire
for quantity pricing.
HENELSK2 HeNe Laser Kit 2. >10 $ 40.00
Similar to above but with 0.8 to 1.5 mW 10
inch HeNe laser tube instead.
HENELSK2H HeNe Laser Kit 2H. 2 $ 55.00
Similar to above but with 3 to 4 mW
9 to 10 inch HeNe laser tube.
HENELSK-P1 HeNe Laser Kit P1. 0.8 to 1.5 mW NEC GLT-165 4 $35.00
or Toshiba LG-3217 polarized HeNe laser tube, Tubes, HVPCB
HENEHVB HV PCB, and an AC line (115 VAC) power
transformer that produces 700 VAC. Note that this
kit requires an external source of 12 to 15 VDC
(at low current) to run the laser which can
then be turned on and off with a TTL signal.
Makes a nice "everything visible" demo HeNe
laser. Hookup instructions will be included.
With the addition of a diode and capacitor,
the power transformer in the "A" versions can
provide the 12 to 15 VDC, and can be used for
other low voltage circuitry..
HENELSK-P1A Same as HENELSI-P1 but subtitutes multiple 2 $35.00
output power transformer with both HV and
LV windings. Heavier to ship though.
HENELSK-P2 HeNe Laser Kit P2. Similar to HENELSK-P1 but 1 $30.00
uses potted HV multiplier instead of flyback
for starting.
HENELSK-P2A Same as HENELSK-P2 but subtitutes multiple 2 $30.00
output power transformer with both HV and
LV windings. Heavier to ship though.
HENELSK0 HeNe Laser Kit 0 (6 VDC). 7 $ 25.00
0.5 to 0.75 mW SP-007 HeNe laser tube with
6 VDC power supply and ballast resistor.
This is very nearly the most compact HeNe
laser available. The tube is less then
5 inches long. It should run off 4
D cells with no problems. A 6 inch tube
can be substituted for the SP-007 if
desired.
HENELSK0A HeNe Laser Kit 0 (6 VDC). 7 $ 25.00
Same as above but with 0.5 to 1.2 mW 6 inch
HeNe laser tube.
HENELSK0B HeNe Laser Kit 0 (6 VDC). 7 $ 30.00
Same as above but with 0.8 to 1.5 mW 10 inch
HeNe laser tube.
HENELSK3-6 HeNe Laser Kit 3 (6 VDC). 4 $ 25.00
0.5 to 1.25 mW 6"x1" Melles Griot or Uniphase
HeNe laser tube mounted in a molded plastic
housing (high voltage is insulated) with 2
lenses and 2 or 3 first surface mirrors, and a
very compact brick power supply that runs on
5-7 VDC.
HENEOBLK1 HeNe One-Brewster Laser Kit 1. 1 $ 175.00
Includes a 3-4 mW one-Brewster HeNe laser tube
anode end B-window, 115 VAC power supply brick
(05-LPM-379 or equivalent), power cord, fuse,
male Alden connector, ballast resistors, and a
~99% reflectivity OC mirror (from a dead HeNe
laser tube like the 05-LHR-150 or -910). Some
mechanical skills will be needed to construct a
stable platform with adjustable mirror mount.
See HeNe Brewster Heads and Tubes, below, for
additional info. A 230 VAC power supply may be
available for an extra charge.
HENEOBLK1M HENEOBLK1 with HeNe laser 0 $ 195.00
mirror kit 1 (HENEMIRK1).
HENEOBLK2 HeNe One-Brewster Laser Kit 2. 1 $ 300.00
9048 laser head instead of bare tube. Not as
pretty since discharge is hidden but more
robust, easier to mount, no shocking
experiences. :)
HENEOBLK2MM HENEOBLK2 with HeNe laser 1 $ 320.00
mirror kit 1 (HENEMIRK1).
HENEOBLK2MM HENEOBLK2 with HeNe laser 1 $ 355.00
mirror kit 1 (HENEMIRK1) and simple adjustable
mirror mount with an additional mirror (my
choice of type) installed and aligned so
it will lase out of the box. :) Something
along the lines of 1-B Head with Mirror.
HENESFPI1 Scanning Fabry-Perot Interferometer Kit 1 >10 $ 25.00
This kit consists of a pair of mirrors,
~99.8%@633nm, RoC of 43 mm) to construct
a confocal cavity with an FSR of 1.75 GHz,
a silicon photodiode, and a piezo element
with a hole drilled through its center.
Some mechanical skills and assorted readily
available materials will be required to
construct the SFPI, which will enable
the longitudinal modes of most TEM00
red HeNe lasers to be displayed in real
time. A function generator may be used
as a driver, or one can easily be built.
An oscilloscope (almost any type, though
dual channel is preferred, not included)
will be required for the display. See the
sections of Sam's Laser FAQ starting with
Scanning Fabry-Perot Interferometers.
for more details. Mirrors are also
available individually. See HENEMIR-S1
under HeNe Laser Optics.
HENESFPI2 Similar to above but mirrors are 99%@633nm, - $ 25.00
RoC of 200 mm for a confocal FSR of about
375 MHz.
HENESFPI3 Similar to above but mirrors are 99%@633nm, - $ 25.00
RoC of 450 mm for a confocal FSR of about
167 MHz.
HENESTAB1 Stabilized HeNe laser upgrade for any of the - $ 35.00
0.5 to 2 mW HeNe laser kits, above. Includes
a pair of silicon photodiodes, glass plates to
be used at the Brewster's angle for polarized
beam sampling, and testing of the HeNe laser
tube to assure that it is well behaved (not
variable power and not a flipper). Schematics
for basic stabilized HeNe lasers using readily
available electronic components can be found
in the chapter: Home-Built HeNe Laser of
Sam's Laser FAQ. Some electronic and
mechanical skills - and scrounging ability -
will be required to complete the laser. :)
HeNe Laser Heads and Tubes
If you don't see something here (particularly for low to medium power),
email me via the link at the top of this page. I may have it or know where
to get it. Or, ask you need a HeNe laser but don't know which one
would be suitable. Or, if you have a HeNe tube you'd like mounted in
a proper head cylinder, that can ba arranged.

SP007-1 Cute little Spectra-Physics model 007 HeNe 5 $ 15.00
laser tube, 23 x 118 mm, 0.5 to 0.75 mW. Pic
HENE047-1 Melles Griot or Siemens homeless 0.8 to >10 $ 10.00
1.2 mW HeNe laser tube. Some are marked
05-LHR-047, but have a divergence of about
8 mR which is more like the 05-LHR-041.
While this may look funny for a HeNe
laser (more like a red flashlight), with
the high divergence, only a single short
focal length lens is required to easily
collimate or focus the beam. These tubes
have a perfect TEM00 beam, but someone
must have put the wrong OC mirror on
the tubes before processing. Oops. :)
The length is about 6 inches with anode-end
output Two tubes for $18. Includes shipping

includes shipping in the USA. Two tubes
for $9. Maximum 2 to a customer at this
price. Additional tubes at $10 each. But,
for a limited time only, if you go for two
homeless 05-LHR-640 tubes I'll toss in a
third tube absolutely free that is high
mileage but should still work. Several
suitable power supplies are listed below.
No, I don't sell Choppomatics on the side. :)
HENE640-2 Melles Griot 05-LHR-640 tubes, like new - $ 25.00

and guaranteed not to fail due to this, just
not as pretty. :) 2.5-3.5 mW.
HENEMGH2 Melles Griot 05-LHP-131 laser head with long 1 $ 40.00

greater than 1.75 mW.
HENEMGH5 Melles Griot 05-LHR-143, -151, or -153 1 $ 50.00
HeNe laser head. Measured output power
of 5.5 to 6.5 mW, first come first served

HENEMGH4-10H 10 mW minimum after warmup, slow start. 1 $ 60.00
HENEMGH4-8H 7-8 mW minimum after warmup. slow start. 2 $ 15.00
HENEMGH4-T7 7 mW minimum after warmup, tube only. 1 $ 25.00
HENEATH1-12 Aerotech 12+ mW HeNe laser head with Alden 2 $ 100.00
cable. Note: Beam of all HENEATH1s has a Pic
slight multimode (LG01) profile - a dougnnut
shape with a faint dot in the center - not
pure TEM00 but the divergence is comparable to
that of a typical TEM00 laser. I think this is
by design as the laser heads are labelled 512MR
(12 mW, multimode, random polarized). :)
Laser head length is about 25 inches, tube
is about 19 inches. The extra space was
supposed to be for an internal power supply
but I didn't have one when I rebuilt this
head, and installed the Alden cable with
end-cap instead. I do have one now, see
AC Input Brick-Type HeNe Laser Power Supplies.
These are definitely more interesting than
your average boring red laser head! :)
HENEATT1-12 Aerotech 12+ mW HeNe laser tube. I believe this 1 $ 90.00
is the same tube as used in HENEATH1-12, above.
More power may be possible by walking the
mirrors (preferably after adding adjusters).
(I've gotten over 17 mW from one sample but
doubt this one can come anywhere close.)
Tube length is about 19 inches.
HENEATH5-14 Aerotech HeNe laser head with Alden cable 1 $ 110.00
(spliced but works fine). Power exceeds
14 mW after warmup. The alignment of
front mirror is rather touchy but seems
to be stable. Laser head length is about
22 inches, tube length is 19 inches.
Includes front end-cap with shutter.
Tight TEM00 beam.

Climet-2 Climet non-laser prticle sensor thing. This 1 $ 50.00
was purchased by someone on eBay thinking it
had a nice one-Brewster or other interesting
HeNe laser tube in it. Nope, though it is
interesting. It consists of a low voltage
halogen lamp at one with some relay optics
to focus the lamp's filament into a narrow
glass tube that is between a pair of
compression fittings. A polished metal
parabolic reflector directs any scatter
into a UDT455 amplified photodiode. There
is also a yellow LED facing the sensor,
presumably for calibration, and some other
unidentified device facing the sample. Comes
with the original electronics board, untested.

short wire. However, since the ballast is built
in, adding a long cable would require snother
ballast at the tube.
HENEPS-926-1 Melles Griot 05-LPM-926 HeNe laser power supply. 1 $ 65.00
Input: 115/230 VAC. Output: 1.85 to 2.45 kVDC
at 6.5 mA (adjustable). Also has a logic level

Use this to repair an ML620 or to build a
demonstration HeNe laser power supply with
all parts visible. This is a linear power
supply with HV transformer, regulator, rear
panel with switch, power light, and line
cord included. This power supply will
drive most 1 mW (rated) HeNe laser tubes
including the tube from the Melles Griot
05-LHR-911. Set at 5 mA but can be changed
with one resistor.
LALGN7469 Power supply for Siemens/LASOS LGK-7626/7676 1 $ 235.00
lasers. Input 115/230 VAC; Output 4.3 to
5.3 kV at 11 mA (fixed). This may also be
used for Spectra-Physics 107/127/907 lasers
but the 3 prong Alden wiring would need to
be changed. (Two wires need to be swapped
since the polarity is reversed.) This is a
large brick, model LGN-7469. Used but

HENEPS-S248 Spectra-Physics model 248 exciter. This is 1 $ 75.00
a linear power supply good for powering a
2 to 3 mW (maybe 4 mW) HeNe laser head.
Current adjustable from 2.3 to 10 mA via
internal pot. Original round SP 3 pin HV
connector with interlock or rewired with
female Alden pigtail, your choice.
HENEPS-S256M Spectra-Physics model 256 laser exciter that 1 $ 125.00
has been modified to run 12 to 15 mW HeNe
lasers. Set to 6.5 mA (adjustable) with
Alden connector.
HENEPS-S3A-1 Spectra-Physics model 253A/122 exciter. This 1 Make
is the power supply for some versions of the offer
Spectra-Physics model 122 laser. It's a
switchmode power supply that generates 225,
300, or 375 V p-p at about 22 kHz to drive a
a potted voltage multiplier/start module in
the laser head. If you have an SP-122 laser
and need this, you'll know exactly what it
is. Otherwise, the 253A exciter probably is
NOT very useful to you except maybe for the
classic blue Spectra-Physics case. :)
HENEPS-S3A-2 Spectra-Physics model 253A/124 exciter. Similar 1 Make
to above but for some versions of the SP-124 offer
laser head.
HENEPS-S200 Spectra-Physics model 200 RF exciter. 15 to 25 1 Make
watts at around 40 MHz. Works, may need offer
fine tuning. This was used with some early
HeNe lasers like the SP-115.

HeNe Laser Optics
Important: Where mirrors or windows are to be salvaged from internal
HeNe laser tubes, very specific chants and incantations must be offered
to the gods of dead lasers first for there to be any chance of the
optics ever working decently after removal. These may be available for an
extra charge. :)

FILTER1 Filter for red HeNe lasers that passes better 4 $ 25.00
than 90 percent of the beam at 633 nm but
blocks blue, green, and much of the other
bore light. Great for short path length
experiments that can't tolerate unwanted
wavelength borelight photons. Standard
4-hole mount for Melles Griot and other
HeNe lasers.
LC-MT1 Laser head (4 screw) to C-mount adapter. 1 $ 16.00
CM-MT1 C-mount to microscope thread adapter ring. 0 $ 16.00
10XMO Microscope objective, 10X, 0.25 NA, various 3 $ 20.00

works well at 632.8 nm.
BSC-RED-2 10 mm polarizing beam splitter cube for 1 $ 40.00
HeNe lasers, ~8 mm clear aperture, AR coated.
Design wavelength is 633 nm but has been
tested and has better than 200:1 transmission
extinction ratio down to at lesat 543.5 nm
and should work for wavelengths well away
from 633 nm.
BSC-RED-2A Same as above but there is a slight cosmetic 1 $ 35.00
chip on bottom surface. Optocally perfect.
HENEBFIL1 Bore light blocking filter for red HeNe 3 $ 15.00
lasers. Fits Uniphase and other laser
heads using 4 4-40 screws.
HENEMIRK1 HeNe Laser Mirror Kit 1. This is a set of >10 $ 30.00
at least 5 *unmounted* dielectric mirrors of
various radii of curvatures, both OCs and HRs.
These are especially good for experiments
on resonator stability and mode structure
with the one-Brewster lasers listed above.
HENEMIRK2 HeNe Laser Mirror Kit 2. This is a set
of >10 $ 45.00
at least 8 *unmounted* mirrors including all
of the ones in HENEMIR1 and several others.
HENEOCM1-43 Mirrors useful for a scanning Fabry-Perot - $ 12.00
interferometer to display the longitudinal
modes structure of HeNe lasers. These mirrors
are 99.8%@633nm, RoC of 43 mm (side 1); planar,
AR@633nm (side 2); diameter of 7.75 mm. The
resulting FSR is 1.75 GHz for a confocal
SFPI configuration (c/4L). See the
sections of Sam's Laser FAQ starting with
Scanning Fabry-Perot Interferometers.
They may also be used as focusing mirrors
or as an OC mirror for an external mirror
HeNe laser but over a very limited range of
distances from a concave HR mirror. Bare
mirror, unused.
HENEOCM1-200 200 mm RoC (concave) OC mirror. Side 1: >10 $ 10.00
99%@633nm. Side 2: 63 mm, AR@633nm.
Diameter: 7.75 mm. New. These mirrors could
also be useful for a scanning Fabry-Perot
interferometers (SFPI). A confocal SFPI
would have an FSR of about 300 MHz
and resolution possibly better than 5 MHz.
HENEOCM1-250 250 to 300 mm RoC OC mirror from 1 mW HeNe laser >10 $ 7.50
tube, approximately 99% at 633 nm. These
will work (and are extremely easy to get
lasing) with the 1-B HeNe laser tubes
within about 2 inches of the Brewster window,
or from 60 cm to 90 cm from the HR. However,
planar, longer concave, or slightly convex
mirrors are probably better for general purpose
use. These mirrors could also be useful for a
scanning Fabry-Perot interferometers with an
FSR of about 200-250 MHz and resolution possibly
better than 2 MHz.
HENEOCM1-300 300 mm RoC (concave) OC mirror. Side 1: >10 $ 10.00
98-99%@633nm. Side 2: Planar, AR@633nm.
Diameter: 11 mm, thickness: 6 mm. New.
HENEOCM1-450 450 mm RoC (concave) OC mirror. Side 1: >10 $ 10.00
98-99%@633nm. Side 2: -(15-16) cm RoC
(convex), AR@633nm. Diameter: 7-8 mm.
New.
HENEOCM-M1K Minus 1 to 2 meter (convex) RoC OC mirror for >10 $ 9.00
red HeNe laser. Approximately 98%@633nm.
These result in a stable resonator for lasers
with a concave HR, such as the 1-B tubes,
above. They will also work reversed through
the AR surface as concave mirrors with a slight
loss of power. Bare mirror, unused.
HENEHRM1-P Planar HR mirror from 1 mW HeNe laser tube. >10 $ 5.00
Bare or still in end-cap, your choice subject
to availability. These will work with
the 1-B laser tubes at any distance up to
about 60 cm from the 1-B's internal HR.
The bare mirrors are also useful as super
quality turning mirrors at up to about 45
degrees for tight beams (useful diameter
is 5 to 7 mm, bare mirror only).
HENEMRM3-P Planar 99.8%@633nm mirror, 7-8 mm. Bare - $ 6.00
mirror, unused. The reflectivity is
close to HR. Fine ground or planar
uncoated wedged rear surface, your
choice pending availability.
HENEMIR1C Mirror set from 05-LHR-320 tube, OC RoC of about 1 $ 10.00
30 cm.
HENEMIR2A HR mirror mount assembly from polarized laser 4 $ 10.00
tube like the 05-LHP-150. Includes Brewster
plate inside HR mirror assembly (NOT easily
removed intact). Clean and tested.
HENEMIRB1 HR mirror and Brewster window from Melles Griot 1 $ 15.00
05-LHB-570 1-B HeNe laser tube which was cracked.
The mirror and window are still attached to the
end-caps and easily handled.
HENEMIRHHR1 HR mirror assembly from Hughes 3184H HeNe laser 5 $ 6.00
head. These are planar HR mirrors with fine
ground rear surface installed in an aluminum
plate with 4 mounting holes. Easy to handle
but cleaning is possible if necessary.
HENEMIRHOC1 OC mirror assembly from Hughes 3184H HeNe laser 5 $ 10.00
head. These are 30 cm RoC mirrors, about 99
percent at 632.8 nm installed in an aluminum
plate with 4 mounting holes. Easy to handle
but cleaning is possible if necessary.
HENECRX1 Dual line (cross) generator for 7 inch (1-2 mW) 1 $ 6.00
HeNe laser tube and adjustable optics in
ugly, but solid, metal box. NO laser tube
or power supply, though several of those
listed above could be installed.

HENEGRNX-1 Melles Griot 05-LGR-192 green HeNe laser tubes, 2 Make
0.1 to 0.5 mW. These are well below spec'd offer
power but guaranteed to lase. These are long
tubes (about 18 inches) requiring 2.75 kV (with
75K ohm ballast) at 6.5 mA. Good mirrors
HENEREOY1X Tube from PMS/REO LHYP-0021 laser head. Output 1 $ 50.00
from 0 to 0.5+ mW depending on its mood and
orientation. But there is yellow! Mostly
metal construction. Cylinder available. Ask
for details.
HENEREOG1X Tube from PMS/REO LHGP-0??? laser head. Output 1 $ 50.00
about 0.5 mW after warmup. This is probably
low but there is some green!
HENEMGWH1A Melles Griot 05-LHR-151 head doing about 3 mW. 1 $ 7.50
HENEMGWT1A Melles Griot 05-LHR-151 or 05-LHP-151 or similar 2 $ 20.00
5 mW-class HeNe laser tube doing 4-5 mW. Good
for testing compatible HeNe laser power supplies!
HENEMGDT1A Dead/dying long red HeNe laser tubes. Melles 3 $ 5.00
Griot 05-LHR-991 or equivalent. End-of-life
tube lases weakly (1 mW or so with no warranty
on future life). Hard start and run. Salvage
the mirrors or power as high-tech eye-safe wall
sculpture.
HENEMGDT1B As above but 3227-HPC tube doing about 2.5 mW. 1 $ 5.00

HeNe Laser Parts for Repair or Salvage
Sam Part # Description Qty.Avl. Price/ea.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SP-120Y Spectra-Physics laser head with tube that will 1 $ 50.00
only run at 9 mA or higher and is hard-start.
3 mW output. Includes original cable.
SP-120X Spectra-Physics laser head with broken tube 1 $ 50.00
and no cable. Good (probably aligned)
mirrors and cosmetically decent condition.
HP5500CX Hewlett Packard 5500C interferometer HeNe 1 $ 50.00
laser for educational purposes. :) The
only electronics in this unit that are known
to work are the HeNe laser power supply and
PZT high voltage power supply. The tube is
very hard start and very weak. It would make
an interesting display piece. The PBS has
been removed due to damaged coatings. The
beam sampler plate is good as are likely
the lenses and any other optics, PDs and PCB
electronics, and mechanical parts. But it
doesn't have any feet and its appearance is
slightly ratty. (The ball bearing feet may
be available if that's what it takes to sell
this thing.) Nonetheless, it might just
have that impossible to find part you
absolutely must have!
HP5501A-TX Tube, magnet, and beam expander assembly from 2 $ 100.00
HP5501A or HP5500C laser. Hard-start and
weak, end-of-life. Makes excellent display
piece. :) However, beam expander alone (6 mm
or 10 mm beam) is worth the price.
PILDSLDR1 Complete slider assembly from Pioneer HeNe 1 $ 100.00
laser-based LD players like the models
LD-660, LD-1100, or PR-8210. Removed from
working equipment. Here's what you need to
revive your antique LD player. Though,
buying a complete LD player on eBay for
half this price would be a much more sane
approach. :)
PILDSLDR1A Slider above with original HeNe laser power 1 $ 120.00
supply.
HENEHVB Mystery HeNe laser power supply high voltage 10 $ 7.50
rectifier/filter/starter PCB. This is the Pic
HV PCB from a Pioneer LaserDisc player. It
includes a voltage doubler/filter capacitor
bank accepting 600-800 VRMS and producing
approximately 1,800-2,400 DC, a linear
regulator transistor, flyback transformer
boost/starter, and miscellaneous other
stuff. Schematic and wiring instructions
are available.
TRN725-1 AC line transformer for mystery HV PCB, above. 3 $ 8.00
725 VRMS at around 15-20 mA. Also has a
~33 VRMS centertapped low voltage winding,
probably 1 or 2 A. About 2-1/2" x 3" x 3-1/2".
Also would be good for an SSY1 or M60 ruby
laser capacitor charger/power supply.
TRN1650-1 AC line transformer for HeNe laser power supply. 10 $ 12.00
1,650 VRMS at 10 mA. Input: 115 VAC. Output:
No load voltage is approximately 1,850 VRMS.
The part number is 006-1003154, manufacturer
unknown. Size: 3-3/4" x 3-1/8" x 2-1/4".
NOS. Using one would be good for up to a 4-5 mW
laser, 2 for up to a 10-15 mW laser. Other uses
include capacitor charging for a pulsed laser
or strobe, electric fence :), etc. Two for $20.
HENEMGH4-HX Newly homeless Melles Griot polarized HeNe 10 $ 20.00
laser head from HENEMGH4s, but weak. These
only produce 2 to 6 mW after warmup (typical
is 3-4 mW). Complete assembly including
front and rear end-caps and 6 foot Alden
cable. It's possible that mirror tweaking
might result in another mW or so but probably
not something dramatic. Some samples also
tend to be hard to start. No guarantees on
anything other than that these heads do
lase and produce a nice TEM00 polarized
beam. Or consider it the perfect home for
your homeless 5-10 mW HeNe laser tube with
cathode-end output. Removing the tube intact
and reusing everything else is fairly easy.
This homeless head special includes USPS
shipping in the USA (or a shipping credit
if combined with other stuff). First come
first served for highest power. Quantity
discounts available. :)
HENEMGH4-TX Homeless tube only. These are all the 10 $ 15.00
way-cool Hughes style with mirror adjusters. Diagram Pic
front and rear, removed from HENEMGH4 laser
heads. Includes USPS shipping in the USA
or shipping credit. Quantity discounts
available. :) The 16.3" black aluminum
head cylinder (no end-caps) may be requested
for a whopping $1 extra.
HENESP120-2 Spectra-Physics model 120 HeNe laser 1 $ 75.00
head. Weak. Peaks at about 3 mW at 7 mA.
No power supply. Nice solid resonator.
I don't believe this is a problem with
dirty optics or alignment - there is
no getter spot.
HENEMNT1 Aluminum mounting brackets for 05-LHR-911 laser - $ 5.00
heads or anything else with an outside diameter
of ~1-3/8" diameter. Price/ea. is for a set of 2.
HENEMNT2 Aluminum mounting brackets for normal diameter 4 $ 10.00
Melles Griot and other HeNe lasers with an
outside diameter of ~1-3/4". Price/ea. is for
a set of 2. (Two sets available.)
HENEMNT3 Similar to above but have a spring and fine 4 $ 15.00
thread screw to allow the height to be
adjusted over a range of at least 1/4". Price/ea.
is for a set of 2. (Two sets available.)
HENESHUT1 Solenoid operated beam shutter that will 1 $ 10.00
screw directly to the end-cap of a Melles
Griot or similar laser. 24 VDC coil,
continuous duty.
HENELPS1-X HeNe low power homeless tube special 1. 5 $ 7.00
Weak Uniphase 098 or Spectra-Physics 088
0.3 to 0.7 mW. Includes shipping. Or,
just $3.00 with any other order over $25.
At the very least you get $10 worth of
good mirrors. I don't know what chants are
required to pacify the gods of dead lasers
if I salvaged the mirrors from these since
the output power is so low. :) They have
good discharge color but mirror alignment won't
help. So if you want a laser tube that looks
and acts like a laser tube but is just tired
from long hours of lasing and guaranteed to
be Class 2, these are for you! Two for $10.
HENELPS2-X HeNe low power homeless tube special 2. 3 $ 30.00
Tube similar to Melles Griot 05-LHR-150
or 05-LHP-150 (your choice subject to
availability) doing 4 to 5 mW after
warmup. Could be 05-LHR-140 or
05-LHP-140 in which case they even meet
spec. Includes shipping in the USA.
HENELPS3-X HeNe hard start and/or hard run 05-LHR-640 - $ 2.50
very cute 0.5 mW HeNe lsaer tube. These
produce at least 0.5 mW (most do somewhat
more) but due to long hours slaving away
in some sort of measurement instrument, have
a higher than normal operating voltage,
some may also be slightly hard to start and,
there is likely to be significant brown
crud in the bore. But they will work on a
05-LPM-379 or similar power supply with
a 75K ballast resistor close to the tube.
HENENWS1-X NON-WORKING (up to air) Siemens LGK-7641, - $ 1.00
Spectra-Physics 088, or Uniphase 098, 10 inch
HeNe laser tubes. Good mirrors, but at this
price, you'll have to provide your own chants
to the gods of dead lasers if you want to
remove them. :). Note: RoC of OC mirror is
probably 30 cm or less, not very good for use
with 1-B HeNe laser tubes except very close
to the B-window, but might be suitable
for a Scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer.
HENEMGH1-X Melles Griot 05-LHR-911 laser head. Includes 3 $ 10.00
front end-cap with shutter and short cable
but no Alden connector. Low or no output
but I will guarantee that mirror alignment
will get you at least 1 mW, possibly as much
2 mW. Requires drilling 3 holes in cylinder
opposite front mirror adjusting screws.
I'm just too lazy to bother but it really is
just a 10 minute job with a drill press and
hex wrench. And since it's the cathode-end
mirror that needs to be adjusted, no shocking
experiences (usually). :) Or, at this price,
just salvage the mirrors for your 1-B laser
tube (but I don't want to know).
HENENLX1 Weird beam 1 mW HeNe laser tube. The beam is 2 $ 3.00
weird because the outer surface of the OC
mirror is broken. The tube lases just fine
with rated power, the beam is just strange.
You could sand it down and have an even more
strange constellation of dots generator.
Or, consider it an eye-safe HeNe laser! :)
HENEH4X-1 HENEMGH4 cylindrical laser head minus the 2 $ 15.00
tube for installation of your own 16" or
shorter cathode-end output Melles Griot or
non-wiring-end output Hughes HeNe laser
tube.
HENESP132-X1 Spectra-Physics 132 laser complete but 1 $ 15.00
not functional due to bad tube.
HENESP132-X2 Spectra-Physics 132 laser complete but 1 $ 25.00
tube only starts with finger is applied
to selected part of glass and is very
weak.
HENESP155-P1 New (NOS) power supply board for SP-155 1 $ 10.00
laser (only the assembled PCB, not the
transformer).
HENESP155-P2 Same as above but used, tested. 1 $ 7.50
NEHESP155-NT Good SP-155 case with all part but tube. 1 $ 15.00
HENESP155-C Slightly bedraggled SP-155 case, no tube, 1 $ 6.00
transformer, or power supply board. Good
for installing your own laser project.
HENESP907-X1 Spectra-Physics model 907 HeNe laser tube 1 $ 175.00
assembly (same as used in SP-127 laser.) It
is doing about 20 mW after warmup. Rated at
25-35 mW. Proper cleaning of Brewster windows
and mirrors should help some. Rewired with
standard Alden connector. Will run on
modified SP-255 exciter.
HENES7676-X1 Siemens LGK-7676 HeNe laser tube assembly 1 $ 175.00
(similar to SP-907). It is doing about 16-18
mW after warmup. Rated at 25-35 mW. Proper
cleaning of Brewster windows and mirrors
should help some. Rewired with standard Alden
connector. Will run on modified SP-255
exciter.
HENE-CYL1 Aluminum cylinders (no end-caps) from various - $ 1.00
HeNe lasers from 7 to 12 inches in length,
1.75 inches in diameter. Most are in excellent
condition. Ask.
HENE-CYL2 Same as above but 13 to 25 inches in length. - $ 2.00
HENE-HEAD1 Complete laser head minus the tube. This is a 1 $ 7.50
rather unusual size - for mounting a 1" or less
diameter up to 8-1/4" long tube, cathode-end
output. 1" outside diameter. With front
end-cap (no shutter), rear end-cap with 2 foot
Alden cable and internal ballast resistor.
The following, shall we say, may have some problems. OK, they have more
problems than some of the others. :) These are various HeNe laser
tubes/heads that don't work properly for one reason or another but
may be of use for organ donations or recycling into your home-built laser
or high-tech wall hanging. In some case, they may be repairable.
HENEDT3-1 Melles Griot 05-LGR-024 green HeNe laser tube. 1 $ 20.00
Up to air (won't start). For mirrors only.
HENE1BDT1 Non-working Melles Griot 05-LHB-570 one-Brewster 2 $ 10.00
laser tube. Ionizes but sputter overcoat on
Brewster window due to loose cathode or
reverse polarity. Good HR. Brewster window
may be salvageable but will require removal
of sputtered aluminum coating from the *inside*.
HENEDT4-0 Melles Griot 05-LHR-926 or similar extremely 2 $ 75.00
long (~1m) HeNe laser tube with hairline crack
in cathode-end frit seal. Perfect cosmetic
condition otherwise. Glob on some Torr-seal
and fill with gas but may need alignment. :)
HENEDT4-1 Extremely long (over 1 meter) HeNe laser tube 1 $ 75.00
of conventional design, hard-seal, gas intact
and starts and runs with perfect discharge
color but output is less than 1 mW and
and fluctuates, and mirror alignment is VERY
critical. With the addition of a series of
Zeeman suppression magnets, I would imagine
that you could get a few mW but almost
certainly no where near the 35 mW rating.
This is NOT a mirror alignment problem
but either a gas-fill or incorrect mirror
formula. Perfect physical conition.
HENEDT4-1A Same as above except has punch through at 1 $ 75.00
anode. Excellent cosmetic condition.
Won't lase, but will light up on small
HeNe laser power supply. (Discharge
snakes along outside the bore.) Makes
interesting high tech sculpture.
HENEDT4-2 Very long (about 0.8 meter) HeNe laser tube 1 $ 35.00
of segmented design, hard-seal but up to
air. With a segemented tube, the
bore is split into sections - this may
improve the distribution of the gas or
something and in any case looks cool. Tube
would be rated 15 to 25 mW if operational.
HENEDT4-3 Medium (about 0.6 meter) HeNe laser tube of 1 $ 20.00
conventional design, hard-seal but up to air
as above. Tube would be rated 12 to 15 mW
if operational. This tube was removed from an
Aerotech HENEATH1-12 head (see above).

Older blue case, very good condition overall.
No cable.
HENESP127-B Bore ONLY from SP-127 tube. No electrodes 1 $ 35.00
(hole where anode pin should be), Brewster
window still present at that end. Fairly
clean (almost no brown crud). Use for PMG
laser experiments or a cattle prod. :)
The following are only good for boat anchors or architectural use unless you
have a way of removing hard potting material without damaging components
underneath, and then repairing whatever is wrong. I have no idea why I'm
even saving them. :)
HENEPS-ADE Dead AC input HeNe laser power supply bricks, - $ 0.00
various models. All wires are cut so there is
really nothing salvageable on the outside
except maybe some labels. I can't imagine
why anyone would want these but people do
buy used dirt on eBay so I guess almost
anything's possible. :) Just pay for
shipping - 10 or 15 should fit in a USPS
flat rate Priority Mail box.

LD-SDL2360C Uniphase C-mount laser diode model SDL-2360-C. >10 $ 125.00
1.2 watt, 808nm.
LD808-1A C-mount laser diode, wavelength 808 nm nominal, 10 $ 100.00
multimode, at least 1.2 W max, appears to be
100 um stripe. Threshold: 320 to 360 mA,
slope efficiency: 0.9 to 1.1, power out at
1 A: 600 to 700 mW. These were probably for
Uniphase uGreen lasers. A similar diode
was installed as a replacement in a uGreen
4301 laser and worked well. Beam shoots
away from mounting surface. C-mount is
positive. I believe these to be the same
as the SDL-2360-Cs but they have no model
number.
